Autumn Hills Orchard is an authentic working orchard located on 90 stunning acres in the historic and scenic town of Groton, Massachusetts — about 45 miles northwest of Boston. The top of the center hill offers spectacular views of the surrounding and distant hills and mountains in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. One can see Wachusett to the west, Monadnock and Watatic, as well as Temple and Crotched to the north, and nearby, the Nissitissit Hills and distinctive Uncanoonuc Mountains.
We grow a wide variety of tree-fruit in season including more than 55 varieties of apples, peaches, nectarines, pears, grapes, apricots, plums, pluots, pumpkins and gourds. Our growing season begins with numerous varieties of delicious and healthy raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.
We’ve planted thousands of new trees over the past five years toward our goal of expanding our inventory with popular modern varieties, historic heirlooms, cider apples and other fruit that we find interesting.
Our growing practices rely on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques. We work hard to ensure that we use best practices with our goal to grow the best quality fruit possible in a sustainable manner with the least impact on the land and the animals that live in and around the orchard.
